Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: District collector Deelip Swami has been selected for the Bal Snehi Award of the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR).

Chairperson of MSCPCR Susieben Shah informed the district collector through a letter. The award ceremony will be organised at the Yashwantrao Chavan Center, Mumbai, at 1 pm, on March 3.

Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare, and Ministers of State Yogesh Kadam and Meghna Bordikar will grace the event.

When he was in Solapur, he took measures to survey out-of-school children and bring them back into the stream of education. He also implemented a 10-point initiative to provide education to the children of brick kiln workers.
