District Collectorate office road to remain close today

A special session has been scheduled today at the district planning committee (DPC) hall of the district collectorate for the election of the Zilla Parishad (ZP) president and vice-president. The process will begin at 8 am.

With ZP members, party workers, and citizens expected to gather in large numbers at the district collectorate and surrounding areas, the traffic police have decided to close the route from the divisional commissioner’s residence to Chandane Chowk to all vehicles.

The road will remain closed from 8 am until the completion of the election process. Citizens have been advised to use alternative routes, said police inspector Amol Devkar.
