Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A wife sustained serious injuries after being attacked multiple times on the neck with scissors in a case of domestic violence. The incident occurred on Wednesday around 10.30 am. Based on a complaint filed by her brother, a case has been registered at MIDC Waluj Police Station.

The complainant, Sachin Dongre, stated that his sister, Komal, and her husband, Rushikesh Khaire, live with their five-year-old daughter, Arohi, in Bajajnagar, where they run a grocery store. Rishikesh Khaire had a habit of drinking alcohol and often closed the shop to wander elsewhere. Komal frequently advised him against this, but he never listened, leading to frequent arguments between them. Komal and Rishikesh had a heated argument on the wednesday morning. During the altercation, Rishikesh attacked Komal multiple times on the neck with scissors, attempting to kill her. Hearing her screams, neighbours rushed to their house and rescued Komal from her husband’s grasp. She was then admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Komal sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing medical care. Meanwhile, the accused, Rishikesh Khaire, has fled. Based on a complaint filed by Komal’s brother, Sachin Kharat, a resident of Naregaon, a case has been registered at MIDC Waluj Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
