Aurangabad, June 24:

Dr Bhagwan Sakhle appointed director of Gopinathrao Munde National Institute of Rural Development and Research (GMNIRDR) on June 22.

It may be noted that management council (MC) members in their recent meeting demanded to remove Dr Ramesh Pandav from the post of GMNIRDR director.

The administration removed Dr Pandav from the post on Tuesday and appointed Dr Bhagan Sakhle, a professor from the Chemical Technology Department who took charge of the post on June 23.

MC members like Sanjay Nimbalkar, Dr Fulchand Salamure, Dr Rajesh Karpe, Rahul Mhaske, Dr Narendra Kale, Dr Jaisinghrao Deshmukh were aggressive on the issue of removing Dr Pandav from the post.
