Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A panicked drunkard fearing his arrest tried to run away by jumping from the bathroom of a police station and sustained severe injuries. The incident took place at Waluj MIDC police station on Thursday at 4.30 pm.

It so happened that the drunkard was harassing a married woman frequently. Hence she contacted the police station and registered a cognisable offence against him. When the police were recording the statement of the female complainant, the drunkard was murmuring. Hence the police told him to sit aside. The drunkard thought that he would be arrested by the police. Hence he tried to run away. He climbed up the police station’s bathroom and jumped into the open space of a nearby Khinvsara Complex. There is underground parking. Hence he fell 15-20 feet deep and got injured. Further investigation is on.
