Aurangabad, Dec 24:

The crime branch is being refused information by various government offices about the candidates who have got jobs under the sports quota reservation in the past 10 years. The crime branch investigating the bogus sports certificate case had sent notices to 36 offices including municipal corporations, Zilla Parishads, district treasury offices, tehsil offices and municipal councils in the state asking them to submit information.

Many have gained government jobs on the basis of the bogus certificates of Tambling and other sports events. These sports certificates had come to the division sports deputy director office of verification. It was found that in all 259 certificates in two sporting events were bogus. Many of these candidates are in government jobs now and are hiding the information. Cases have been registered in Jawaharnagar police station. Till date, 44 have gained anticipatory bails from the court. The suspects who have been granted anticipatory bail have to be present at the crime branch on each alternate day. The accused are appearing before the investigating officer API Manoj Shinde for questioning. Based on the information they provided, it was revealed that almost everyone did not know how to play the game Tambling and Tempolin. It became clear that the accused had obtained bogus certificates in order to get a government job from sports quota. The police had sought information about the persons recruited in the government jobs in sports quotas for the past 10 years. Of these, 70 per cent of the offices have sent a written letter to the crime branch informing that the information of the candidates who have been employed under sports reservation in past 10 years is not available.
