Aurangabad, Nov 7:
The online process of Haj 2021 has started as the union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi inaugurated the online application process at Haj House in Mumbai, today. The charges of pilgrimage have increased as Saudi Arabia has introduced Value Added Tax (VAT), this year. Hence the minimum cost of Haj 2021 will be Rs 3.70 lakh. The Haj Committee of India (HCI) has urged the aspirants aged between 18 years and 65 years to submit the online application by December 10.
The Muslim devotees from India and many other countries could not visit the holy cities Makkah and Madina to perform Haj 2020 due to the spread of Coronavirus and pandemic situation.
The submission of an online application for Haj 2021 has been from today. The guidelines regarding the pilgrimage have also been released by the HCoI today, said the office-bearers of Markaz-e-Hujjaj Committee.
The cost of application is Rs 300, and the applicant desirous to go on pilgrimage should hold a passport which will be valid till January 10, 2022. The aspirants will have to undergo RT-PCR tests after their selection. Moreover, the nearest embarkation point to board the plane for aspirants from the region is Mumbai.
The aspirants will have to deposit the first instalment of Rs 1.50 lakh, and the total cost of the pilgrimage will be Rs 3.70 lakh.
As per revised policy and a precautionary measure, three pilgrims will share one room at the holy destinations. Besides, the reservation quota is not available, stated the release.
