Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Even though the summer season has started, there is ample water in Harsul lake of the city.

It may be noted rains delayed during the monsoon of 2024. Yet, the water in the lake can quench the thirst of the citizens of 14 wards. Currently, there are 22 feet of water in the lake, and ten MLD of water is being pumped daily.

Harsul Lake overflowed during the monsoon last year. After that, the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation's Water Supply Department made proper planning for water usage.

During the monsoon and winter, water was lifted from the lake in small quantities as per demand. As summer began, the demand for water increased. Due to this, 10 MLD water is being lifted from the lake every day. The water is being purified in the new and old water purification plants and brought to the water tank at Delhi Gate. From there, water is supplied to the old city.
