A hunger strike demanding subsidized land for unemployed individuals in the Bidkin and Shendra industrial areas of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor in Auric City on Monday organised by navbharat abhiyan.

The group submitted a memorandum to the Auric administration, asking for land to be provided to project-affected people at the current rates, with a 30% subsidy from the Social Justice Department. This would allow the purchase of 1,000 square meters of land for Rs. 4.20 lakh. For SC and ST applicants, the price for 1,000 square meters should be Rs. 6 lakh. The protest also called for discounted industrial plots ranging from 200 to 1,000 square meters for small entrepreneurs, along with long-term loans for land purchases.

The hunger strike was attended by Jagan Salve, Nandu Hiwale, Taterao Sasane, Vijay Suryavanshi, Ranjit Gaikwad, Sachin Dumne, Sachin Kamble, Yashodhara Ghughe, Meenakshi Shirsat, Ramesh Shirsat, Mahendra Ambhore, Zameer Pathan and others.
