Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: ICFAI Law School (Hyderabad) emerged as the first prize winner in the final round of the Silver Jubilee Moot Court Competition organised by M P Law College on Sunday.

A total of 25 Law colleges from all over the country participated in this competition.

The top three teams--ICFAI Law School (Hyderabad), CHRIST (Deemed to Be University, Bangalore, Karnataka) and ILS Law College (Pune) were selected for the final round which was conducted at Tapadiya Natya Mandir today.

Justice C T Ravikumar (former Judge, Supreme Court of India) and Justice Kailash Chandiwal (former Judge, High Court of Bombay) were the judges for the final round.

During his address, Justice C T Ravikumar said, “In the legal field perseverance and dedication define true success.”

M L and G E Society’s president adv Dr Kalpalata Patil-Bharaswadkar presided over the valedictory function. Vice-president adv Rajendra Deshmukh, secretary adv D S Kulkarni, Joint Secretary adv N S Deshpande and others were present.

College Principal Dr C M Rao, Vice Principal S N Morey, Dr Aparna Kottapalle, Dr Anju Singh, Aditi Ankush, Jay Gavade and others worked for the success of the event.

The winners are as follows:

--ICFAI Law School (Hyderabad)-First prize winner: Cash prize of Rs 7,000 and late adv Sudhakarrao Deshmukh Trophy

-- CHRIST (Deemed to Be University, Bengaluru): Runner up Cash prize of Rs 5,000 and late adv Sudhakarrao Deshmukh Trophy
