Aurangabad, Nov 6:

Though commissioner of police Nikhil Gupta has focused his attention on land mafias engaged in illegal plotting, it seems that land mafias and plotting agents are not concerned. On Friday, the municipal anti-encroachment squad removed illegal plotting in Chaus colony, Himayat Bagh. However, no case has been registered against the land mafia.

Sale of illegal plots in the city is in full swing. As a result, the number of unauthorized settlements has reached two hundred. The land mafia grab land ranging from two acres to ten acres for illegal plotting. Minor action is taken by the anti-encroachment squad of the corporation. As a result, the morale of land mafias is increasing day by day. Illegal plotting was done on DP road owned by the municipal corporation in Padegaon, Mitmita, Harsul, Chikalthana, Pahadsinghpura and other areas. Similar plotting was done on government land at Chaus colony in the Himayat Bagh area. A room was also built here. On November 4, the municipal anti-encroachment team issued a notice to the concerned. As the notice did not have any effect, direct action was taken today. Municipal team demolished a room built on government land. The culprits will also be charged soon, the officials said. So far, the corporation has not filed a case against any land mafia.
