IMTMA, MAC sign MoU for skill development

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday between the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA), Bengaluru, and the Marathwada Auto Cluster (MAC) to promote skill development and industry-oriented training in the Marathwada region.
The agreement was signed in the presence of IMTMA president Mohini Kelkar and MAC president Milind Kank. Under the MoU, special training programmes, workshops and seminars will be organised to develop skilled manpower for regional industries. Speaking on the occasion, Kelkar said that after assuming the presidency of IMTMA, she had envisioned supporting the industrial ecosystem of Marathwada by creating opportunities for students and developing a pool of trained manpower. Kank expressed confidence that the agreement would help industries gain access to trained manpower while also strengthening skill development and value addition for engineers in the region. The event was attended by MAC managing director Jayant Padalkar, Raman Ajgaonkar, general manager Rajendra Mudkhedkar, head of skill development and training Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, IMTMA training director G. S. Naveen and Santosh Singh. The programme was coordinated with the support of Shivani Padalkar, Anupama Bhusari, Pandurang Ghule, Pooja Pawar and Gayatri Verellu.
