Aurangabad, Nov 7:

The industries in Aurangabad, which were in crisis due to the lockdown, have jumped to 100 per cent production capacity this month. There is a good demand for Dussehra-Diwali automobile products in the market. As a result, the stagnant economy has accelerated, and the industry has been relieved.

Due to huge demand for two-wheelers, four-wheelers and tractors in the market. Hence automobile companies have upped the production. Industries in Waluj, Chikalthana, Railway Station, Shendra, and Paithan industrial estate have increased the production capacity to 100 per cent. Lockdown left the industries and markets paralyzed for about three and a half months. Millions of workers became unemployed. Meanwhile, companies began functioning in compliance with the terms and conditions laid for unlock. In September, companies continued to work on 50-55 per cent production capacity. By the end of October, many companies began operating at 80 per cent production capacity. At present about 80 per cent of the industries in the district have reached 100 per cent capacity. On the backdrop of Diwali, industries are operating in three regular shifts as before. Eighty per cent of the migrant workers who had gone to the village in the lockdown have returned to Aurangabad. Therefore, industrial production has gained momentum. Entrepreneurs believe that this situation will further improve in the next five months.

MSMEs need help from government

CMIA president Kamleish Dhoot said that the industry has started at full capacity. While this is a comforting picture, all entrepreneurs need to be careful that the second wave of corona does not come. Today''s reassuring state of the industry will continue for at least the next five months. However, small and medium enterprises are facing difficulties. They need the help of the government.
