Industries join hands with admin in combating Covid-19,

Aurangabad, March 31: Responding to the appeal made by district collector Sunil Chavan to join hands with the administration in battle against Covid-19, many local industries have come forward and announced aid.

Bhavook Tripathi, founder, chairman and CEO of Brahm Group has pledged to donate Rs 1 crore as an immediate concrete response.

Managing Director Dhoot Transmission Ltd Rahul Dhoot and Applied Innovation and Technology Group (AITG) chairman Ram Bhogale will donate Rs 12 lakh each for providing a Rs 28-lakh flex thermofisher machine used for RNA Extraction, which is helpful to do the RT-PCR tests faster.

Garware Polyester will donate 2 Philips-make ICU ventilators (approximate cost Rs 14 lakh), said Garware president Shrikrishna Amlekar.

Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) president Kamleish Dhoot, vice-president Shivprasad Jaju, Hon secretary Satish Lonikar along with all executive council members appreciated this immediate and concrete help of Rs 1 crore extended by Bhavook Tripathi, CMIA past president C P Tripathi, and also the contribution and help by Ram Bhogale, Rahul Dhoot, and Garware Polyester.

Bhavook’s gesture will definitely boost the morale of citizens for coming out of this situation, said a CMIA statement.

When contacted, Dhoot Transmission MD Rahul Dhoot said, “We have contributed our mite in the battle against the pandemic and supported the initiative taken by the CMIA. The city has been good to us, so when it comes to giving back something, we should not lag, was the thought in our mind.”

AITG Group chairman Ram Bhogale said the machine will be donated to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Aurangabad. During a meeting, the collector had urged the industries to chip in and through CMIA we are extending help.
