Intel conference on Democracy and Freedom of Expression in MGM

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: MGM College of Journalism and Mass Communication of MGM University and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Center for Buddhist Studies will jointly organise a one-day international conference on ‘Democracy and Freedom of Expression’ at Vinoba Bhave Auditorium on April 12.

Renowned experts and thinkers from across the country and abroad are participating in this conference. Niranjan Takle (Senior Journalist), Dr Dorcas Ettang (Durban University, South Africa), adv Rama Asim Sarode (legal expert, Pune), adv Vaishali Dolas (Social Educator) and Guru Parwati Dutta (Professor, Performing Arts, MGM University) will be key speakers for the event.

The aim of this conference is to discuss the understanding of values, the Constitutional nature of freedom of expression, the role of the media and the concepts of responsible and ethical journalism.

MGM University Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, Vice Chancellor Dr Vilas Sapkal, Registrar Dr Ashish Gadekar, Deans Dr John Chelladurai and Dr Rekha Shelke and others will also grace the event.
