Jaiswal, Rajurkar, Khaire & Danve smeared in same colour

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Leaders from opposing parties, smeard with same colour, came together on Holi on Monday.

MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, Mayor Sameer Rajurkar, Deputy Mayor Rajendra Janjal, Uddhav Sena leader Chandrakant Khaire, former Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve and former Mayor Nandkumar Ghodele painted each other and wished each other well after Holi Pooja.

Holi Pooja and Ganesh Aarti were held at the Sansthan Ganapati Temple in Rajabazar at 8 pm like every year. Commissioner of Police Pravin Pawar, Corporator Sachin Khaire and other dignitaries were present.

All these leaders had campaigned vigorously against each other in the recent Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation and Zilla Parishad elections. However, putting aside political differences on Monday night, they celebrated Holi together in Rajabazar, preserving old ties.

All the leaders, painted in red, pink and yellow colours, were seen dancing to the tune of the halgi. This created an atmosphere of excitement among the workers.

Shirsat, Save & Karad absent

District Guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat, BJP leader and OBC welfare minister Atul Save and MP Dr Bhagwat Karad were not present at the Holi Pooja at Sansthan Ganapati. The absence of two ministers and MP from the city had sparked discussions among the workers.
