Defeats MIM’s candidate by margin of 8,119 votes

Pradeep Jaiswal, the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader and Mahayuti candidate, secured victory in the Assembly elections, retaining the Aurangabad Central (107) constituency seat. He defeated Naseruddin Siddiqui of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) by a margin of 8,119 votes.

Jaiswal garnered 85,459 votes, including 1257 postal ballots, while Siddiqui received 77,340 , with 439 postal votes. Other key contenders included Dr Balasaheb Thorat of Uddhav Sena (37,098 votes) and Mohammed Javed Qureshi of Maha Vikas Aghadi (12,639 votes).

Polling for the constituency, which has over 3.66 lakh registered voters, took place on November 20 across 320 booths with a turnout of 59.35%. The counting process, spread across 23 rounds, concluded at 5.15 pm, when Jaiswal was officially declared the winner.

Jaiswal defeated Siddiqui for the second consecutive time in the same constituency. Celebrations erupted among his supporters and party workers near the counting venue following the announcement of his victory.
