Aurangabad, Nov 12:
NCP state president and water resources minister Jayant Patil said that every three months, Devendra Fadnavis, claims that the government is going to fall. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has completed a tenure of one year and will continue to function firmly in the next four years.
Patil was speaking at the inauguration of the publicity office of MVA''s official candidate Satish Chavan, near Akashwani Chowk. Chavan is contesting the Marathwada Graduate Constituency Election.
" Eknath Khadse has joined NCP, and you will see many more from BJP in our camp. In this election also, all is not good in BJP. May it be the issue of National Law School or increase in medical seats of Marathwada or implementation of the old pension scheme, Chavan consistently raised his voice," said Patil.
Shiv Sena leader Chandrakant Khaire said, " The MVA government in Maharashtra is working satisfactorily under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray and the supervision of Sharad Pawar. Indeed, some people try to create confusions amongst people through making statements. Sena has started to work on the orders of our party president. Satish Chavan is already a winner."
MLC Vikram Kale made an introductory speech. He suggested not to be overconfident over winning the election and do not remain unattentive. Earlier, BJP would dominate in Graduate and Teachers Constituency elections. Satish Chavan and I removed their dominance. Marathwada is a significant constituency. I am elected thrice, and Chavan will also complete his hattrick after getting elected, he said.
The vicinity of Akashwani witnessed echo of the beating of drums since morning. There was a huge rush of NCP, Congress and Sena office-bearers and activists.
The state health minister Rajesh Tope, EGS minister Sandeepan Bhumre, minister of state for revenue Abdul Sattar, MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, MLC Ambadas Danve, former minister Arjun Khotkar, Anil Patel, Bhausaheb Patil Chikatgaonkar etc. were on the dais. Satish Chavan welcomed the dignitaries. Samadhan Ingle conducted the proceedings and NCP district president Kailas Patil proposed a vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, there was a severe violation of social distancing as the rush of people present on occasion did not maintain the norm.
