Aurangabad, Nov 4:
Kidnappers opened fire on a building contractor and kidnapped him in a car at the Devanagari area on Wednesday at around 11.30 am. As the car ran out of fuel, the kidnappers left the injured builder in the midway and fled away from the scene. The victim was injured as the bullet passed in his left thigh and he is presently being treated in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The kidnapped builder has been identified as Nadim Pathan Rauf Pathan (28, Hussain Colony). According to the details, Nadim, his brother Matin and father Rauf Pathan are building contractors. They were doing the work of Patel Plannel at Saadatnagar and Madan Avdhoot Bhosale’s house at Public Works Department (PWD) Housing Society.
Eight days back, Feroz, a Patel Planet resident, had a quarrel with the Pathan brothers over the sand lying on the road. Pathan brothers hit his car with a stick due to which he incurred losses, Feroz alleged. Nadim’s family resolved the matter by paying Feroz Rs 25,000. Still, Feroz continued to threaten the Pathan family, alleging that they have stolen gold jewelry and cash from his house. However, the Pathan brothers ignored his threats.
On Wednesday morning, Nadim was working at PWD society when three to four persons came in a car (MH CK 5735) and called Nadim towards them. One of them shook hands with him, and the other three tried to dump him in the car. Nadim tried to resist, and the accused opened fire on his left thigh. They later took injured in the car and proceeded towards Beed district through Beed By-pass Road. However, the fuel in the car was over near Apatgaon – Bhalgaon. The accused left the car and injured Nadim there, and fled away.
On receiving the information, PI of the Satara police station, Surendra Malale, and other officers rushed to the spot. A process of registering a case was going on till late at night.
Meanwhile, the passerby residents, on noticing injured Nadim near Bhalgaon, informed the police. He was immediately rushed to GMCH where the doctors started a surgery on him.
