Aurangabad, Oct 30:

The Cantonment police have seized the knife, clothes and the flat keys thrown on the road near Karnapura, used by murderer Kapil Rapte in the Montussingh alias Monty Singh murder case and hidden at a friend’s flat at Pune, informed ACP Vivek Sharaf.

Rapte stabbed Monty Singh at his flat in Padegaon on October 19. Later, he escaped to Pune with blood-filled knife and the flat key. Before that, he took cloths and other articles from his home at Beed By-pass road and threw the keys near Karnapura from the car. Rapte went to a friend’s flat at Chinchwad, Pune and was continually changing his whereabouts. The Cantonment police arrested him from Kurkumbh village in Pune district on October 27. The police on Thursday seized the knife and cloths from the flat in the Chinchwad area.
