Love knows no boundaries, and Sunil Rathod and Manisha Wahul are living proof of this. Their story, which began in a college classroom, defied social norms and proved that love is stronger than caste barriers. On this Valentine’s Day, their journey stands as an inspiration for many who believe in love beyond societal divisions.

Sunil, an advocate and Manisha a family dispute lawyer, first met while studying law. What started as a simple friendship gradually turned into love. They shared the same thoughts, aspirations, and values, but one challenge stood in their way their different castes.

Overcoming family and social challenges

"When we decided to take our relationship to our families and relatives, we faced a lot of resistance,” recalls Sunil. “But we never gave up on each other. The most important thing in any relationship is to stand by one another, no matter what.” Despite numerous challenges, including societal pressure and family objections, their unwavering commitment kept them together. Over time, their families saw the strength of their bond and eventually gave their support. “Today, our families stand by us, and we enjoy a happy married life filled with love and understanding,” says Sunil.

A happy life built on love and understanding

Today, Sunil and Manisha have been happily married and blessed with six-year-old son. Manisha, who handles family dispute cases at the district court, believes in resolving conflicts through understanding rather than division. Their story is a testament to the idea that love should never be confined by caste or religion. Instead, it should be built on mutual respect, understanding, and the courage to stand by each other. This Valentine’s Day, Sunil and Manisha’s journey reminds us that true love transcends all barriers only if we dare to hold on and fight for it.
