Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Ankush Jagdal has alleged that he was assaulted by a group of 10 to 12 youths on Saturday afternoon at his farmhouse on Beed Bypass Road, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Cantonment police station.

In a video statement, Jagdal said in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) he had been seeking police protection for the past year by submitting representations to the police commissionerate, the Bench of the Bombay High Court and the Chief Minister’s Office. He claimed to have earlier raised concerns regarding illegal activities and stated that he had filed multiple complaints with the commissionerate over the past eight months. Jagdal further stated that during the incident, some of the assailants were carrying a sword. He said he contacted the 112 emergency helpline at the time. According to him, a formal complaint in the matter is yet to be registered. Police officials had not issued an official statement on the allegations at the time of filing this report.
