Aurangabad, May 8:
The Cantonment police arrested a man on the charges of raping a minor girl and making her pregnant. He has been remanded in the police custody when produced before the court.
The arrested has been identified as Vishal Hiraji Kolte (Padegaon). The police said, a 17 years old girl had come to Padegaon to her relatives’ home. She met the accused and both of them developed friendly relations. He established physical relations with the victim between the period December 28, 2020 and January 29, 2021 on several occasions. Later, she went to her native village. As she complained about stomach ache, she was taken to the doctor where she was diagnosed pregnant. A case was registered against the accused at the Buldhana rural police station and the case was handed over to the Cantonment police station. The police arrested the accused and now he has been remanded in the police custody till Monday.
