Many youths lose opportunity to appear for competitive exams; Mumbai-bound trains cancelled

Aurangabad, July 20:

Many youths from the city lost the opportunity to appear for the competitive examinations held in Mumbai on July 18.

It may be noted that the examinations of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bengaluru, Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship, Food Corporation of India (FCI) and UPSC-Engineering Services were held at Mumbai centre on Sunday.

The schedule of trains bound for Mumbai was paralysed due to incessant rains.

Many youths lost the opportunity to take the examination as they could not reach Mumbai after trains for Mumbai were halted at Nagarsol, Nashik, Manmad, Lasalgaon and Igatpuri. They returned to the city because of halting trains.

The aspirants said that they had prepared for the examinations for years.

“Those who were from Mumbai appeared for the examinations. We are upset over the halting of Mumbai bound trains. The Government should give us an opportunity considering the situation,” he said.
