Aurangabad, May 4:

A team of municipal corporation's town planning and anti encroachment department on Tuesday marked the encroachments which are obstructing the road works and beautification of historical buildings. Notices were issued to property owners. Marking was done from City Chowk to Kileark road, Jafar Gate and Sukhna river basin at Naregaon.

The encroachments on the 30 meter wide DP road from City Chowk to Kileark will be removed soon. Encroachments have slowed down the work on these roads. As per the order of administrator Astik Kumar Pandey, under the guidance of additional commissioner Ravindra Nikam, a team from the officials marked the encroachments between Rohila Galli and Kileark on Tuesday morning. Notices were issued to citizens to remove encroachments on their own. Also, notices were issued to encroachments obstructing the beautification work undertaken through Smart City at Jafargate. The team also inspected the Sukhna river basin at Naregaon. The corporation has given three days to the encroachers to remove illegal constructions on their own. After that, action will be taken by the municipal corporation. Designated officers Vasant Bhoye, Savita Sonawane, deputy engineer of town planning Sanjay Kombade, branch engineer Karbhari Ghuge, Sneha Bakshi of Smart City, building inspector Syed Jamshid, R Surase were present.
