The teaching and office staff of Stepping Stones High School collected through personal contributions an amount of Rs 1,58,000 to reach out to the drivers and cleaners of the 46 buses that the school operates. They have been struggling as bus services remain suspended for over a year now

The school paid 50% salary to them for a period and then started monthly rations to their families. The Sewa Group of the School also distributed ration kits to daily wage labourers in slum areas of the city. Now, the Group has started feeding midday meal to over 300 people in a slum on Beed bypass bringing a relief to poor families and a smile on the faces of hungry children.

The management stated that they planned to expand on this outreach programme to touch more lives.

Chairman Abdul Hussain, executive director Naseem Rahim, managing committee member Saifuddin Abbas, principal Dr Angelo D’Cruize, vice-principal Rupali Mundada and some of the school coordinators were present.
