Aurangabad, March 5:

The budget of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University was presented in the senate meeting on Friday afternoon. But pointing out many of its shortcomings, the members objected to the budget. The vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole scheduled today's meeting for Saturday and decided to hold a detailed discussion on the budget.

A senior member of the management council, principal Dr Jaisinghrao Deshmukh presented a budget of Rs 43.16 crore. Then senior member Bhausaheb Rajale, Prof Sunil Magre and Vijay Subukade strongly opposed. Speaking on the budget, Rajale said the university has violated the accounts code. Expenditure for the last three years is not shown in the budget. Although the funds have been spent, it has not been shown. Some of these other shortcomings were also pointed out. The members said that the budget will not be approved unless it is discussed in detail. Hence VC Dr Yeole rescheduled the meeting for Saturday.
