Aurangabad, Nov 13:

The premises of Shahaji Raje memorial at Ellora was illuminated on the eve of Diwali. District collector Sunil Chavan had inspected the fort of Maloji Raje Bhosle and the memorial near Ellora on November 4. Seeing it in the dark, the collector had assured to illuminate the premises before Diwali.

Collector Chavan is keen to preserve the fort of Maloji Raje and develop the Shahaji Raje memorial as a tourist destination. He has promised to develop this historic tourist spot in the next few days and open this unique place of history to the public as soon as possible. On Thursday, the memorial area was illuminated with LED lights. The lights have been fitted in the premises. The prompt action by the district collector is being appreciated by the residents.
