Aurangabad, May 10:
A motorcycle rider died on the spot after a speeding truck dashed his vehicle near T-point in old Kaigaon, on Aurangabad-Ahmednagar National Highway, today at 1 pm.
The truck (bearing number MH 16 CC 7467) was passing through Aurangabad check post towards Ahmednagar while it dashed the motorcycle rider Pradeep Kailas Magar (23, Jamgaon in Gangapur), who was going towards Pravara Sangam from Jamgaon.
The accident was so severe that Pradeep was dragged under the truck and got pressed under the wheel. The police naik present at the site Sandeep Damale, Rahul Wadmare, Rameshwar Mandalik, and others sent the body for the post-mortem to the sub-district hospital. Gangapur police station has registered an offence against the truck driver for driving irresponsibly. The police seized the truck and have also detained the driver.
