Onion and potato prices drop as inflow increases
Aurangabad, Dec 6:
Prices of onion and potato have affordable for the common man due to huge inflow last week in the Jadhavwadi Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC). The price of leafy vegetables has also dropped. Vendors in Shahganj market were selling onions at Rs 30 per kg and potatoes at Rs 40.
The arrival of onions and potatoes has increased in Jadhavwadi APMC. New onions are coming to the market from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan. In 8 days, the price fell by Rs 20 per kg. The same onion was sold at Rs 70-80 per kg a month ago. New potatoes have started arriving from Indore, Agra along with Maharashtra.
