Police arrests youth wanted in bullet firing case at Pimpri Chinchwad

Aurangabad, Jan 16:

The city police have arrested Sunil Bhagwan Hiwale (28, a resident of Shrikrishnanagar in Hudco), who was wanted by Sangvi police (in Pimpri Chinchwad) in a bullet firing case, from Mahaveer Chowk area on Friday night. Sunil was absconding after firing a bullet on the manager of a daily newspaper, at Sangvi in Pimpri-Chinchwad area, on January 9.

The complainant Anand Solunke (a resident of Sangvi) stated that while he with his wife and neighbour's daughter was going on foot. The accused Sunil, who is known to him, reached them and fired a bullet in his direction, following an old enmity. The accused fled away from the spot after the crime. Anand escaped unhurt from the incident. He had complained in this regard with Sangvi police station.

Meanwhile, the local crime branch police came to know about Sunil's presence in the city on Friday night. Under the guidance of the police inspector Avinash Aghav, the assistant PSI Vithal Javkhede, Shaikh Habib, Shivaji Kachre and Anil Thore along with the Kranti Chowk police station's patrolling team led by assistant police inspector Rahul Suryatal launched a search for the accused and succeeded in spotting him at Mahaveer Chowk. The cops detained him and while investigation it revealed that he is booked and wanted by Sangvi police station. The local police then arrested him and informed the Sangvi police station.
