Aurangabad, Nov 4:

The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) arrested a police hawaldar of the Satara police station red-handed for taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant to take action on the complaint application. The hawaldar has been identified as Bhagwan Ambadas Jadhav (55).

The complainant had given a complaint at the Satara police station, a few days back. Hawaldar Jadhav demanded Rs 20,000 for taking immediate action on the complaint. However, the complainant lodged a complaint at the anti-corruption bureau. The bureau after confirming the facts, laid a trap. The complainant was asked to call Jadhav at Deolai Chowk to take Rs 10,000 bribe from the demanded Rs 20,000. The ACB officers arrested Jadhav red-handed while accepting the bribe. The action was executed under the guidance of deputy superintendent Brahmadev Gawade by PI Nandkishor Kshirsagar and others.
