Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) announced the provisional merit list for the Ph D admission on Tuesday evening.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Walmik Sarwade said that the final selection list of researchers would be announced on April 16.

After taking charge as Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari conducted the PhD entrance Test (PET) which was pending for two years. Online registration was done through ‘Samarth Portal’ between July 1 and August 15, 2024. The PET was conducted for 44 subjects on October 3.

Nearly 11, 464 students appeared for the examination at 11 centers in four districts. The result was declared on October 16.

After this, subject-wise presentations on Ph D proposals were held before the Research and Recognition Committee (RRC) under all four faculties between February 4 and March 3.

Chairman of the Board of Deans Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Walmik Sarwade, deans of all four faculties- Dr Mahendra Shirsath, Dr Sanjay Salunke, Dr Vaishali Khaparde and Dr Veena Humbe, Board Secretary Dr Bhalchandra Waikar, director of the Examination Evaluation Board Dr Bharati Gawali and Dr Praveen Yannawar worked for the process.

After the presentation, all eyes of the students were towards the results. The provisional merit list was declared on the university website on Tuesday afternoon. The list includes students who have presented before the RRC. It also includes those who have cleared SET, NET, M.Phil and those who have been exempted from PET.
