Principal Kautikrao Thale Patil (President, MSP): I was shocked by the news of the sad demise of veteran writer R R Borade. He started writing in 1957 when he was in 10th standard. He wrote 15 collections of stories, five novels, three plays, 1 collection of children's stories and other works.

He was one of the four writers of the first generation of Marathwada. They were Narhar Kurundkar (intellectual), Sudhir Rasal (criticism), N D Mahanor (poetry) while R R Borade was a writer of rural stories and novels. Two pillers-Kurundkar and Mahanor, already passed away. Borade was considered a national-level writer. It is not something that can be easily forgotten.

His affection as teacher cannot be forgotten

F M Shinde (veteran poet): I have been together for about 40 years. I was fortunate to be with him as his student and fellow teacher. When I came to know about the news of his sad demise today, the golden time with him came before my eyes.

His affection as a teacher will occupy my mind throughout life.

I arrived in the city to do an MA. The same treatment at the university was given to me by Dr Y M Pathan. Borade was a student of Y M Pathan. I was a Borade student. That's why Pathan used to call me ‘Prashishya. In simple terms, it means grandson.
