The MGM School, Padegaon held a virtual assembly to celebrate the Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra and Paper Bag Day with great enthusiasm. The assembly started by praying and thanking the Almighty God followed by showcasing in details a very informative video on the eight amazing wonders about Jagannath Puri Temple.
Paper is one item without which life seems impossible as it is used in various forms by one and all. The students were apprised about the origin of paper and its Chinese inventor Cai Lun of the Han Dynasty in 105 AD. They were also introduced through a video on the process of making paper in the present world. The art teacher guided the students on making paper bags out of old newspapers. The students thoroughly enjoyed this activity and took an oath to buy notebooks out of recycled paper and also use only paper bags.
The principal stressed on judicious use of paper.
