Aurangabad, Jan 2:

The online registration for the Ph D Entrance Test (PET) began within the jurisdiction of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) from January 1.

It may be noted that PET is mandatory for the Ph D admissions as per the norms.

Each university should conduct the test twice in a year. But, it does not happen because of less number of students. Bamu held the last test in 2016-17. Hundred of aspirants have been waiting for the next test since then.

The notification for the registration was issued on December 31 and registration started from Friday.

The last of the registration with a fee is January 11.

The university will issue online admit card on January 21. There will be two papers in the test. The first paper will be conducted on January 30 while its result will be out on February 1.

The list of faculty and subject-wise candidates eligible for the second paper will be announced on February 6.

The admit card for the second paper will be available in candidates login. The aspirants will appear for the second paper on February 21, and its result will be released on February 24.

Bamu will make available the certificate of the paper one and two in candidates login on February 28.

Those who have passed both the papers will have to register online between March 1 and 15.

The last date of hardcopy submissions along with required document in the university is March 20.

The PET registration fee for general group students is Rs 1000 (Rs 600 for reserved category). The score of the test will be valid for one year only.
