Aurangabad, Feb 1:
Tension prevailed upon the campus of the registration branch's office at the district collectorate after some residents of Wadgaon Kolhati questioned the district registrar and stamps officer about the delay in registration of their properties.
It is learnt that the registration of flats and row houses in Wadgaon Kolhati and surrounding villages is not done if properties fail to meet the parameters mentioned under Maha RERA. The residents underlined that there should be no problem in registering documents of resale properties, but the officials are also refusing to register it.
According to Ashok Gomate, one of the few residents coming for registration of property at the collectorate, said, " The citizens arrive at the office in the morning, by leaving their official works or other important works, to aside. On Friday, the officers told to come on Monday, and today, they tell us that there is pressure upon them and tell them to go away. The common people are making rounds of the collector office for the past fortnight with the family members and kids. On the other hand, the registration of properties through agents is going on smoothly. If the registry is closed then from where the registration of 178 properties had been done and how?
It is alleged that the agents are using officers' chambers to get their registration done, while others are sent away
out of the chamber. The officers are claiming that they get threatening calls or pressure is built upon them if they register documents of properties from the restricted areas. The informers of political leaders move around in the office and give tip to their bosses. The work of 'choice' agents is being done without any hindrance, it is learnt.
When contacted the district registration and stamps officer Deepak Sonawane said, " There is no such issue. The legal properties will be registered anyhow. There is no problem even in registering resale properties. However, if anybody is buying a plot and re-selling it by constructing row houses on it has an objection. In such case, few permissions are required. The registration of legal properties is underway, not of illegal properties."
