Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A retired couple's home was burgled while they were in Pune for work. The incident occurred in a society near the PF office in the Town Center area recently.

According to police, retired Sandeep Bhagde (65) had gone to Pune for work on April 10. Their children work outside the city. They found the door to their house open the next morning. Thieves stole 1.87 kilograms of silver ritual items, including a 500-gram Ganesha idol, 500-gram 'Tamhan,' oil lamps, and coins, from the couple's temple. The break-in occurred on April 11 when the couple discovered the door to their house open after returning from Pune. A case of theft has been registered at the MIDC Cidco police station.
