Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A two-wheeler rider was killed in a collision with a speeding unknown vehicle on Pachod to Paithan road near Thergaon around Friday midnight.

The deceased has been identified as Baban Baburao Garad (42, Nandar, Paithan). Baban Garad was hailing from Jat in Sangli district. He was returning to his village on a two-wheeler for the Renuka Devi Yatra on Friday.

Meanwhile, his two-wheeler was hit by an unknown vehicle at high speed near Thergaon on the Pachod to Paithan road.

Baban Garad was seriously injured in an accident. The villagers immediately admitted him to the rural hospital in Pachod for treatment. However, the doctors declared him dead after examining him. Upon receiving information about the incident, Pachod police station's ASI Sharadchandra Roadge Patil conducted a panchnama at the spot. Pachod Police Station took note of the accident on Saturday evening.
