Mumbai: Senior Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar industrialist Rishi Kumar Bagla of BG Electricals and Electronics India was elected CII Western region chairman and Blue Star Ltd's Vir Suneel Advani was named deputy chairman for the year 2025-26 at the first meeting of the reconstituted Western Regional Council held today. They will lead industrial growth across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa.

Elected leaders, dedicated to fostering the region’s success, will lead the charge on initiatives that resonate with the goals of both businesses and communities, ensuring a prosperous future for all.

The major focus areas for the Western Region will include ease of doing business and responsible business, lowering cost of doing business, ease of living and internationalisation. They promise to undertake a series of transformative initiatives designed to drive growth and tackle key challenges by focussing on government collaboration, cultivating strong partnerships with local, state, and national authorities, targeted initiatives and state and regional coordination.

The incoming leadership team brings deep expertise and a shared vision for the Western region’s future. Their focus on innovation, cooperation, and inclusive growth will be crucial in unlocking the region’s full potential and fostering long-term prosperity, according to a CII Press statement issued here today.
