Aurangabad, March 7:

The thieves threatened an old woman and a girl with knife to kill and took away valuables worth Rs 3.70 lakh from a house at Bhavaninagar area in Paithan tehsil. The Paithan police have registered a case against unidentified thieves.

According to the details, four thieves entered the house of trader Anil Santumal Panjwani at Bhavaninagar area. Anil and his family members were sleeping in different rooms. The thieves entered a room of his mother Meerabai and daughter Komal and threatened them with a knife to kill if they scream. Later, they broke the cupboard in the room and took away jewellery and cash, all amounting Rs 3.70 lakh.

After the incident, PI Kishor Pawar, API Gajanan Jadhav, PSI Ramkrishna Sagade, Chotusingh Girase and others rushed to the spot and made the panchnama. PSI Sagade is further investigating the case.
