Aurangabad, June 8:

The Regional Transport Office (RT) rejected 1550 application forms of auto drivers for government aid.

It may be noted that the State Government announced a package under which each auto driver will get Rs 1500 as relief for restrictions imposed in Covid lockdown.

The process of inviting application process began on May 20. The RTO received 8,459 application forms from licence holders auto drivers from the auto drivers of the district by June 6.

The RTO accepted 6,909 application forms while 1,550 were rejected for shortcomings. It is mandatory for the applicant to attach a copy of Aadhar Card and mention the auto number and licence number in the application form.

Meanwhile, the RTO will start new number series MH-20-FW for vehicles from June 9, 20201 as MH-20-FV is over.
