Aurangabad, April 25:

Education Officer (primary) Surajprasad Jaiswal said that action would be taken against those schools which would conduct examinations or similar projects for students from first to eighth standards.

It may be noted that the State Government decided to promote the students from first to eighth standards without examination across the State because of the rise in COVID patients.

Some schools are trying to hold the examinations or to give similar projects to students to evaluate them. The education department received information about the schools are flouting the norms.

EO Surajprasad Jaiswal said that the Government decided to promote the student without examinations. He issued a reminder to the bloc education officer to inform the schools about the Government decision. There are 3,310 schools with 6.61 students studying up to eight standards in the district. The standard wise number of students is as follows; first standard (88,329), second (88,189), third (88,202), fourth (89,211), fifth (87,869), sixth (86,207), seventh (85,044) and eighth (79,633).
