Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
The water supply in the city has been disrupted. The supply is not being made even on gap of 8 days. We will voice against this mismanagement. We are planning to take out a ‘Handa Morcha’ under the leadership of Aditya Thackeray, said former MP of Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) Chandrakant Khaire while addressing a press conference organised in the city on Wednesday.
Khaire also alleged that Raju Shinde, the candidate who contested the Legislative Assembly election from the West constituency on the Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) ticket is a ‘negotiator’ and inquire about him in the Chikalthana MIDC area.
Shinde tendered his resignation from the party venting out his anger against Khaire. Hence Khaire without naming him and the leader of the opposition in Legislative Council Ambadas Danve, made a series of allegations. He hinted at attacking with a mace (Gadda) of Bhadra Maruti in the head of those who would be causing harm to him. He claimed that Danve did not pay heed to him.
Khaire said,“ Shinde worked against me when I was contesting the election. One of our party leaders brought him to the party and got a ticket for him. Hence I worked for him loyally. In 2019, Shinde secured 42,000 votes from the West constituency. In 2024, he polled over 1 lakh votes due to Shiv Sena from the same jurisdiction.
“I will slap in his face if he claims that I had not worked for him during the election,” said Khaire, refuting the allegations made by Shinde. “He is resigning for some reasons. Hence he should tell about the reasons. Coming and going from the party is his work. He went missing after his defeat in the election. I will not make Shinde big by speaking on him,” said Khaire.
Misleading party: Pointing finger towards Danve
I had not issued a ticket to anybody during the assembly election. I was not asked about the candidature. An arrangement for the ticket was made for those who came from BJP. You guess the name about whom I speaking, said Khaire without naming Danve. The local leaders misled the party chief by misinforming him while issuing the ticket. Hence the party sustained a loss. After settling the dispute in front of Uddhav Thackeray also Danve is not listening to me. He does not ask about planning. Danve’s tenure is till August. Then, we will see, taunted Khaire.
