Setting aside defeat, resolve public issues: Danve
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
Urging party workers to recover from setbacks and strengthen the organisation with renewed energy, Uddhav Sena leader and former leader of opposition Ambadas Danve called on the party’s office-bearers and candidates defeated in the municipal corporation elections to take to the streets and work on public issues.
Danve convened a meeting of defeated candidates and party office-bearers on January 24 at Matrubhumi Pratishthan. The meeting was attended by senior leaders including deputy leaders Subhash Patil, Dnyaneshwar Dange, and other key office-bearers. During the meeting, an objective analysis of the election results was conducted. Discussions were held on challenges faced during campaigning, voter responses, organisational strengths and weaknesses. The defeated candidates expressed that this loss was not the end but a new beginning.
“The election results are acceptable. However, our connection with the public and our commitment to fight for them must grow even stronger. Do not be disheartened by these results; work with renewed hope for the party and for the common people,” urged Shiv Sena deputy leader Subhash Patil.
The meeting was attended by prominent leaders including state organiser Chetan Kamble, Kisan Sena leaders Nanasahib Palskar, Santosh Khedke, Digvijay Sherkhane, Haribhau Hiwale, Pramod Thengde, Sachin Tayde, Girish Chapalgaonkar, Sukanya Bhosale, and Hanuman Shinde.
