Shivjayanti celebrated with grand tributes at Kranti Chowk

The city witnessed a grand celebration of Shivjayanti on Wednesday as thousands gathered at Kranti Chowk to honour Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The District Shivjayanti Mahotsav Committee led the event with a flag-hoisting ceremony at the warrior king’s statue, followed by tributes from political leaders, organizations, and Shiv devotees. From noon to evening, Shiv songs, poetry recitations, and cultural performances energized the crowd. Children and youth in traditional Maratha attire added to the spectacle, while dhol-tasha beats echoed through the streets. The entire area was draped in saffron, amplifying the festive spirit. Bike rallies from across the city surged towards Kranti Chowk, filling Jaalna Road with roaring slogans and enthusiastic participants. The celebrations, marked by devotion and grandeur, reinforced Shivaji Maharaj’s enduring legacy, leaving the city in a wave of pride and unity.
