Aurangabad, Oct 20:

The traffic police have geared up to take penal action against vehicle-drivers violating the speed on Aurangabad-Ahmednagar Highway. Meanwhile, the action of the police has surprised the vehicle-drivers who complained of taking action against violators without giving any prior intimation.

The vehicle-owners also informed that the authorities should have intimate them about the speed permissible while passing through the highway.

The traffic police are measuring the speed of vehicles by installing Speed Gun near railway overbridge on the highway. The gun captures the photograph of a vehicle violating the speed along with its number. Later on, the receipt of the fine is issued to the owner of the vehicle. Meanwhile, we are pursuing with the World Bank to fix a signboard mentioning maximum speed permissible while passing through the highway road."
