Aurangabad, Jan 2:

The climate in and around the city has been steadily changing over the past week. A combination of cold, hot and cloudy climates are being experienced every other day. Now, the city’s minimum temperature is steadily rising and will continue till the second week of January. The city is recording a minimum between 15-18 degrees celsius.

Last week the citizens felt the cold as temperatures dropped steadily. For the second day in a row, the city recorded a low of 9.5°C on December 21. The lowest temperature recorded on December 22 was 9.2°C. However, the minimum temperature started rising from December 25. During this period, the average temperature in the city was more than 12°C. For the last few days, the minimum temperature in Aurangabad city has been around 15 to 18°C, while the maximum temperature has been around 29 to 30°C. According to the Chikalthana Meteorological Department, the cold is likely to disappear due to the rise in minimum and maximum temperatures. Although the minimum temperature has not dropped much this season, the cold winds blowing in the morning and after sunset are causing the chill. Even in December, there was no continuous cold due to continuous change in the weather.
