Aurangabad, Oct 21:

The local crime branch of the rural police arrested the thieves, who stole a truck laden with cement bags parked in front of a Transport Company at Sundarwadi Shivar on Jalna Road. The police seized the truck and 195 cement bags and 70,000 cash.

The arrested have been identified as Shaikh Shakeel Shaikh Naju (35, Beed By-pass), Prakash Baburao Lipne (50, Railway Station, native of Karkin), Satish Keshav Janole (Gevrai, Beed) and Babasaheb Dhondiram Jadhav (Jijaunagar, Gevrai, Beed).

As per the complaint lodged by Dilip Ratan Shermale (Kanchanwadi), on September 23, laden his truck with 20 tones of cement from Railway Station and parked it in the premises of Harshada Roadlines at Sundarwadi. As the truck was missing, he lodged a complaint at Chikalthana police station.

Under the guidance of the senior officer, PI Bhagwat Phunde, PSI Bhagatsingh Dulat, Sandeep Solanke and others investigated the case and arrested the accused Shakeel, and Lipne. They told that they had given the truck to Janole and Jadhav for selling it. The police seized the truck, 195 cement bags, Rs 70,000 cash and four mobile phones, all worth Rs 7,67,000. The accused have been handed over to the Chikalthana police.
