Aurangabad, June 3:

Rehabilitation minister Vijay Vadattiwar on Thursday afternoon announced that the unlock process will be implemented in the 18 districts where the positivity rate of Corona patients is less. After the announcement, the traders in the district were delighted but their happiness did not remain for long as the order was reverted in the evening.

The lack of co-ordination in the government machinery left the traders in dilemma over the unlock orders. The traders, hoteliers were calling each other to know the exact situation. Moreover, the government officers also did not had any clarity about the decision.

Meanwhile, the administration collected the information about the patients and cots available in the district. Accordingly, out of the total 3,458 cots available, around 2,000 are empty now. The information will be required to implement the unlock process in the district. Moreover, the positive rate also decreased and presently the positivity rate of the Aurangabad city is 2.26 percent.

District collector Sunil Chavan said that the positivity rate of the district is around 4 percent and the information about the oxygen beds availability is also being collected. The lockdown in the Aurangabad will continue unless further directives from the higher level. Any information in this regard can be given only after the directives received from the chief minister’s officer, he said.

Vyapari Mahasangh president Jaggannath Kale said that the traders were happy after the announcement but later the information was received about the change in the decision in the evening. We would be very happy if the unlock process could be implemented, he said.
